8. Performative Expression vs. Hate Speech
This Platform exists primarily for consensual adult roleplay, kink content, and fantasy-based expression within the raceplay community. We recognise that this type of content frequently involves taboo language, slurs, and extreme themes that are part of a negotiated performance between consenting adults, not genuine hate. This policy defines the clear line between protected performative/roleplay content and prohibited hate speech.
8.1 Hate Speech (Prohibited)
Content is considered hate speech and will be removed when it directly and seriously advocates or incites hatred, discrimination, or violence against a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristic, and does so without any clear roleplay, fictional, or consensual framing. This includes:
- Direct incitement to violence against any group ("Kill [group]," "Let's beat up [group]")
- Targeted harassment of a specific identifiable individual using slurs with intent to intimidate, threaten, or silence
- Dehumanising propaganda presented as a serious political demand rather than roleplay, fiction, or performance
- Hate symbols used to promote a violent ideology or recruit for hate groups without clear roleplay or critical framing
8.2 Performative Roleplay and Adult Content (Permitted)
This platform is built around consensual adult roleplay and fantasy. Controversial language, slurs, and extreme themes are an inherent part of this space. The following are permitted provided they do not cross into the direct advocacy or targeted harassment defined above:
- Consensual adult race play, nation play, and faith-based roleplay within fictional scenarios between consenting participants. The presence of taboo language alone does not constitute hate speech. The roleplay context, intent, and framing are what matter.
- BDSM and kink content involving power exchange dynamics that may use racial or ethnic themes as part of a negotiated scene between consenting adults.
- Performative content where participants are acting out characters, scenarios, or fantasies that involve offensive language or extreme viewpoints as part of the performance, without the creator genuinely endorsing those views.
- Scripted audio, video, or text-based roleplay containing taboo themes and language presented within a clear fictional or fantasy context.
- Discussion of roleplay dynamics, boundaries, and experiences using blunt or explicit language within the community context.
The core principle: If the content is part of a consensual roleplay scenario or performance between adults, it is not hate speech, even if it contains language that would be considered hateful in a non-roleplay context.
8.3 Context Matters: Not Zero-Tolerance for Offensive Language
Our platform does not automatically remove content solely because it contains a slur or offensive term. We evaluate the context, framing, and intent. A racial slur used within a consensual race play scene, a BDSM power exchange dynamic, or a fictional roleplay is not treated identically to that same slur used to genuinely harass, threaten, or incite violence against a real person or group. Roleplay is not hate speech.
8.4 Universal Red Lines
Even within roleplay or performative contexts, the following are always prohibited:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised depiction of minors, regardless of fictional framing
- Non-consensual violent pornography or real-world violence presented as authentic
- Doxxing, swatting, or targeted threats against specific identifiable individuals, even if framed as "story" or "roleplay"
- Content that deliberately incites imminent lawless violence with no performative defence
- Terrorist content glorifying or recruiting for proscribed organisations
8.5 Moderation & Review
Reports are reviewed by human moderators trained to distinguish genuine hate speech from performative roleplay and adult content. Moderators examine the full content, its title, description, tags, creator's stated intent, roleplay context, and any content warnings before making a decision. Graduated sanctions apply: content found to cross into prohibited hate speech is removed with warnings; repeat violations lead to account suspension or permanent ban. Permitted but edge-case content may require the creator to add clearer roleplay context tags or warnings. Removal decisions can be appealed and are reviewed by a senior moderator not involved in the initial decision, with the aim to respect consensual adult roleplay while enforcing the prohibition on genuine hate speech.
